This Year's Focus: 6th Grade
This year I am starting off small. I can't go any further because I am only in the 6th grade. My friend said to start in the 5th grade, but I wanted to do all middle school material, so, here I am--teaching 6th grade.
To me, 6th grade math is easy--just listen to your teacher and ask as much questions as you can--but don't ask too many. The math is meant for you to do yourself! Really, I don't have anything to say but that. Just do your best.
Topic of the Week: Algebra
Most kids complain when they see algebra... Why do we have to do this? Can we do something else? I don't know how to do this!
Actually, you do-- its not that hard. All you need is practice and self-confidence. And also, algebra is a really important part of mathematics. Its all about equality and inequality. It's kinda like what you did in 2nd grade--Finding the Missing Part--but with variables. Watch the video to learn more and practice some equations on the link below.
